How to Continuously Get Zed Time in Killing Floor 2

Commando can reset it by up to 6 times: Levels 1-4 => 1 reset, Levels 5-9 =>2 resets, Levels 9-14 =>3 resets, Levels 15-19 => 4 resets, Levels 20-24 =>5 resets, Level 25 => 6 resets. ZED Time will be reset as soon as another ZED will be killed.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GDpg2mN1l_86U_RaDug0glFx8cZCuErwxZLiBKl9SyY/edit#gid=1978784800

in zedtime section: Non-commando perk can reset it once. Commando can reset it up to 6 times (at lvl. 25).

a zedtime duration is 3 seconds: commando can reset it (before those 3 seconds ends) up to six times. The trick (during the zedtime) is to kill a zed each 2.5 seconds (too risky to wait more): this way you can have a long zedtime total duration.

The commando can extend any zedtime. You will find the chance to trigger a zedtime in the document:

ZED Time chances
Player kills ZED (distance < 3 meters) 5%
Player kills ZED (distance > 3 meters) 2.5%
- if ZED killed by headshot (distance < 25 meters) 3%
- if ZED killed by headshot (distance > 25 meters) 5%
Player kills 4 or more ZEDs with an explosion 5%
Player kills 2-3 ZEDs with an explosion 3%
ZED kills player 5%
Commando extension (reset) 100%
Boss dies (duration - 6 seconds) 100%
Sharpshooter player scores a headshot (not necessary lethal) while having either of level 25 skills 5%

Zed time triggering is random
you either gotta kill zeds very quickly i.e. headshots (fastest way to take trash and some medium zeds down) or many at a time (explosion, multi-pierce weapons, trapped doors, etc.)
For some reason fire and poison (healing grenades) doesn't trigger zed time, even if you multi kill with say a molotov. The only way i've seen is with flare revovlers or a trench gun which count as bullet damage.
so yeah it's random but once it starts you need a commando to keep it going, or pray the next person does enoguh damage/kills enough to trigger it again.
Another ironic way is zeds can trigger zed times. say a husk hits zeds and you don't shoot, attack, or move much. Then the zeds retaliate and start attacking the other zed. If one of them dies they can trigger zed time. Happened sometimes in KF1, seems to happen more in KF2 die to new zed attacks like husks with the flamethrower and i guess zeds now can multi attack or they last longer/extend more lile bloat vomit attacks

while it is random there are different chances stated in the doc above, and ways to make use of them, for example when a wave is starting its a lot more likely that the first zed you kill will trigger it, specially HS, so players could make use of that by waiting for a bunch of zeds come closer instead of killing the first as soon as it pops out, like you see happen in pubs.

yeah i noticed that too
usually the first zed killed triggers zed time 50% of the time
