This Saturday consists of mostly eating (because you take to keep eating if yous want to continue going.) But in between the eating this small boy manages to get water skiing, flying in a jet and helicopter, vanquish 5 children at lawn tennis at in one case and then their fathers, followed by playing with the United states of america Marines. my favorite part in the book is this precocious boy meeting the Marines. Hither's a snippet and now remember this was published in 1963.

This would probably sound horribly politically wrong now and may not even read amusing without the visuals which over emphasis and dramatize a child'due south craziest dreams. Only I found this small-scale volume highly entertaining.

I loved this book as a child. I think the old fasioned looking pictures appealed to me. (For me, when I read them they would take been nearly thirty years old). Also, all of the fun things he did interested me, or at least amused me. I remember liking the idea of him being thrown over the cliff in a can, and playing on the ropes that were really high upwards. I also loved all the mentions of all the food he was going to eat throughout the twenty-four hours. Yum! I think I sense a running theme in my favourite childrens I loved this book as a kid. I think the old fasioned looking pictures appealed to me. (For me, when I read them they would have been about 30 years erstwhile). Also, all of the fun things he did interested me, or at least tickled me. I retrieve liking the idea of him being thrown over the cliff in a tin, and playing on the ropes that were actually high up. I also loved all the mentions of all the food he was going to eat throughout the day. Yum! I recollect I sense a running theme in my favourite childrens books...hmm... ...more

I read this volume then many times when I was young. I wish I could find our onetime copy of it - it's probably in the attic of my parents' firm. The pictures of the male child eating all that spaghetti and pancakes was fascinating to me. I e'er wondered how he could eat so much! I read this book and then many times when I was young. This book is nigh a kid explaining all the different things he will be doing on Sat. From eating ice foam to flight a helicopter. The text in the volume is repeating, staring the aforementioned way on each folio. The illustrations are unlike than whatsoever other kid's book it is a printout of other people and from the real earth. I like how the book shows that the child is thinking as big equally he can with all the things he wants to do. Nosotros tin can employ this book to read on a Friday as an activeness to have students This volume is nearly a kid explaining all the dissimilar things he will be doing on Saturday. Helen Marion Palmer Geisel (September 23, 1898 – October 23, 1967), known professionally as Helen Palmer, was an American actress and author and the wife of children'southward book writer Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel). Her near well known book is Exercise You Know What I'm Going To Practice Side by side Sabbatum?, published in 1963. This book, along with ii others — I Was Kissed by a Seal at the Zoo (1962) and Why I Buil Helen Marion Palmer Geisel (September 23, 1898 – October 23, 1967), known professionally as Helen Palmer, was an American actress and author and the wife of children's book writer Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel). Her most well known volume is Exercise Yous Know What I'm Going To Do Adjacent Saturday?, published in 1963. This book, along with two others — I Was Kissed by a Seal at the Zoo (1962) and Why I Built the Boogle Business firm (1964) — combined Ms. Palmer's stories with photographs by Lynn Fayman. The photographs in I Was Kissed by a Seal at the Zoo were taken at the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park, San Diego, California, and featured children from the Francis Parker Schoolhouse in San Diego interacting with the zoo's animals and staff.
Palmer also expanded Dr. Seuss'south brusk story Gustav the Goldfish into the book A Fish Out Of Water, which was illustrated by P.D. Eastman.
Palmer met her future married man at Oxford Academy. She had a profound influence on his life, including suggesting that he should be an artist rather than a professor. They married in 1926 and had no children together. She committed suicide in 1967, afterwards a series of illnesses (including cancer) spanning xiii years. (wikipedia)
